In which a freelance writer contemplates the publishing industry, horse racing and the human-animal relationship. Hey, I'm not the first to ponder the connections.

Meet Pennmarydel
The horse in the middle is Pennmarydel, the last full brother to Barbaro. This is from July 6 and he is currently based at Fair Hill and learning to work in company.
We were told by those who had taken his photos, that he was nearly 17 hands on arrival. So by now, he is probably bigger than any of his brothers, including Barbaro. He is almost a clone of Barbaro in appearance and has a fan following already!
