Dot Not Try With a Wild Fox
Do not try this with a wild fox. This one has lived in a sanctuary since birth and cannot be returned to the wild, it is so domesticated (and so very cute).

Meet Pennmarydel
The horse in the middle is Pennmarydel, the last full brother to Barbaro. This is from July 6 and he is currently based at Fair Hill and learning to work in company.
He looks like a big boy--just like his brothers.

Hot, Hot, Hot
In case you need another reminder NEVER to leave your dog in a parked car on a summer day--even for 5 minutes--this veterinarian gives you first hand information on what it feels like to be that dog. Hint: after 5 minutes it was 100 degrees in the car.

Lentil
What a wonderful story about a french bulldog pup, Lentil, who had his palate repaired but not his cleft lip since it was purely cosmetic. Now he is an ambassador for kids with facial surgeries. And it all happened in my own backyard: Penn Vet and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Tail Wind
Breaking sports news video. MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL highlights and more.
Talk about a narrow escape! A small, white dog leaped away from his owner and onto the Tour de France course, just as the pack was coming around the curve, at breakneck speed. Luckily he managed to cross the road with no disaster, but talk about a close call....

Foxy little fox knows a good thing when he sees one--a golf ball. But warning: wild foxes can have rabies so please keep your distance if you have such an encounter.

My Deer
Dear me. Lilly the deer has been allowed to remain with the Michigan family who saved her life five years ago, after quite an uproar on the internet when officials threatened to remove her.
She certainly seems to fit right in.

Kate and Pippin
This is an old story--from 2011--but new to me! I hope you find it as endearing as I do. What a great friendship to develop under the nose of a wildlife photographer. Surely her mission is to document this story!

We All Need Guide Dogs!
View more videos at: http://nbcbayarea.com.
Wow. Credit O'Neill, a guide dog in training for recognizing that something was terribly wrong seconds before a car came careening down the sidewalk where he and his trainers were practicing. The driver, a 93 year old, was trying to parallel park and hit reverse instead of the brakes.
Thankfully, no one was hurt.

Bottoms Up
This is pretty funny. There must be something about getting her tail wet that keeps this pup from taking the plunge, even as she chases goldfish around the baby pool. Perhaps doesn't want to mess up her coif?
