Miniature Therapy Horses
These miniature horses, about the size of golden retrievers, are visiting Newtown, Connecticut as part of the town's communal therapy. They belong to an organization called Gentle Carousel and they were invited to come to the town.
The Library hosted a children's program with the horses and the excitement around the event seemed to be the closest thing the town has come to normal in a long time. According to Debbie Garcia-Bengochea, Gentle Carousel's Director of Education, she remembers on family in particular who said to her, "We want our children talking about minis and not monsters."
The rest of the story is here.
