Bear Cubs Rescued
This firefighter pulled over when he saw a box on the side of the road with what he thought were puppies in it. Turns out they were bear cubs!! They are all being cared for by professionals even though his daughters wanted to keep them!

Make Way for Duckling!
This may be a great example of what is known as patterning. If a baby animal interacts with a member of another species during a critical period (and it is different for each species), they pattern themselves after that species.
Clearly this baby duck is willing to follow this human anywhere--likely thinking that he is its mother! Too cute.

One Happy Elephant
From what I can gather, this baby elephant took a nice refreshing dip in the ocean in Phuket, Thailand before participating in a wedding ceremony. I think that is his trainer's voice in the background trying to get him back!

Why Did the Elephant Seal Cross the Road?
This massive elephant seal waddled out of the Atlantic Ocean on Saturday and decided to cross the road, in a pedestrian crosswalk. This all happened in the coastal city of Balneario Camboriu in Brazil and yes, the seal eventually made it safely across. Firefighters and police splashed and sprayed water on the seal to keep it hydrated as it stopped traffic for an hour!
Best of all, we'll never know why or what inspired this crossing!

Warrior Canine Connection
These puppies, being trained for wounded warriors at Warrior Canine Connection, are the second litter of this organization to go live on a puppy cam. Trust me they are addictive to watch but more than that, they are being trained to help so many people in so many ways. Check out the website here.

Polar Bear Cub
I'm a sucker for polar bear cubs and this new one, born November 27 at the Buffalo Zoo made her public debut recently, although she is too small to go on public exhibit. The cub is being hand raised by her keepers and from the looks of things, everyone seems to be doing just fine!

Amazing acrobatics as flocks of starlings form clouds in their search for food and to serve as protection against hawks. The starlings, absent from Israel for years, have made their return and are best watched at dusk.
