A Dog's Perspective

Since search and rescue dogs sometimes are able to go where their human handlers are not, this new, dog mounted camera, dubbed PAWS ( portable, all terrain, wireless system) makes it possible for handlers to literally see what their dog sees. In this demo from the BBC, the dog is able to locate a "victim" inside a collapsed building and its handlers able to view the footage.

All very inspiring but the device looks a bit cumbersome and heavy. Nevertheless, the trained search and rescue dog does not seem the least bit bothered!
