Lenny Races Saturday

Lentenor is racing on Saturday at Tampa Bay Downs in the 12th race, the Tampa Bay Stakes at a mile and a sixteenth on the turf. He has drawn post position #12 with Luis Garcia in the irons.

From what I can tell, this is a nice field, with trainers of note, Bill Mott, Dale Romans and Graham Motion, all entering horses in the race. Probably seven out of the twelve horses have a shot so it will be a good test of Lenny's abilities. As always, I would be aware of Graham Motion's horse, #6, simply because he does not tend to enter a horse in a race unless that horse has a legitimate shot at winning.

As for the outside post, I don't think it makes that much of a distance in a race of this length and it may keep Lenny out of the muck in the middle. He needs to get to the rail as quickly as possible or go to the lead and stay there!
