How the Preakness is Shaping Up

The video, above, is of Went the Day Well, who is training for the Preakness at the bucolic Fair Hill Training Center in Maryland. How many Preakness horses can say they train in such a wonderful setting?

Not many who ran in the Kentucky Derby, as it turns out. Hansen is skipping the Preakness and so are Union Raggs and Dullahan. Bodemeister is in as Daddy Nose Best. Newcomers include Tiger Walk and Teeth of the Dog, trained by Michael Matz.

The field will continue to sort it self out as the week goes on but the Belmont is shaping up to be an interesting race!
